Here’s what my clients have to say about our work together:
“I have been in EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy “talk therapy” on and off for almost 6 years. When I first encountered EMDR, I thought it was an absolutely insane idea; watch two fingers while you think about unhelpful thoughts and bad memories. I gave it a shot and I’m very glad I did I as it helped me immensely. My brain was doing all the work, and I had hope for the first time in a while.
A few years had passed and I had been trying to find a therapist who fit me. I went through at least 3 or 4 therapists. They all had been using talk therapy, but I wasn’t getting the same results. I was depressed, anxious, constantly fearful and having flashbacks and panic attacks. I decided to try EMDR one more time, and I got those results I had been longing for. I like to think of EMDR as riding on a train. You sit and look out the window, watching the memories roll by, every so often taking note of what thoughts, ideas or what you see out the window. Eventually, it rolls into green pastures or onto another track, and connects events, thoughts or feelings. While it may have started out as a dark, disturbing picture, it ends with a better view.”

“Jennifer has been my counselor for over 4 years now. She is professional, intelligent and genuinely cares about the people she works with. Without question, she is excellent at what she does and has valuable insight, ideas and strategies for helping people through difficult periods in their life.”
-George, Palm Beach Gardens
"I have been “working” with you now for a year and a half. In that year and a half I have learned and grown within myself more than I did in the four years of counseling in Connecticut. I worked with three different counselors in those four years. You have been patient and willing to help. You actually care about the individuals you see. That’s the difference between you and the majority of the other counselors. You give copies of literature for people to learn from to help them, and your open to listen to anything. You don’t judge and I don’t ever feel judged. In fact, when you do offer advice or opinions I take it seriously because I know your suggesting something for my best interest. I’m in counseling to help myself, I need to do the work and your the person to guide me in the direction I know I should go in but for whatever reason I steer a little off course. Without you this last year and a half I wouldn’t have stayed on this straight path. It might have been a little chaotic at times but I handle things much better now because you helped teach me how. You have allowed me to come back week after week to learn and express my feelings. I get excited the nights before my appointments; I can’t wait to get to sleep and wake up so I can shower and come to your office. I’ve heard people say once you find the right therapist you know you create this “bond”. I guess people are right. I live a good 30-40min ride from your office but because I’m so comfortable and learned so much already from you, going to another counselor is a waste of time. I found my perfect counselor. It took me four years, three counselors and a 1200 mile move to find one but I’m glad I did! Thank you for helping me as much as you have!"
